Soy-free Paleo Teriyaki Sauce

One of the flavors I missed most when I switched to paleo a year and a half ago was teriyaki sauce. I love Asian food and I thought if I could find a good soy-free and gluten-free teriyaki recipe, I could use it to liven up a bunch of different paleo dishes…

The few I found searching online were okay, but I decided to give it a whirl myself. This teriyaki recipe was one of the very first paleo recipes I came up with, and it’s the one that got me thinking about starting a paleo foodie blog.

So I think it’s high time this paleo teriyaki recipe got some love with its own post. It really is that good and I know you’ll use it over and over again.

Top chefs will tell you taking a little extra time to whip up a good sauce can really enhance the flavor of your dishes. That’s so true…a spoonful of the right sauce (like this one!) can make a world of difference in your paleo cooking. [av_sidebar widget_area=’Lockerdome’ av_uid=’av-43q793′]

I’ve had several people tell me paleo sauces can be a bit intimidating. Well some are a little tricky to pull off. But not this one – it’s super-simple, I promise.

I even made a little video with this post to show you just how quick and easy this paleo teriyaki sauce is to whip up!

Tomorrow I’ll post the recipe for the teriyaki burger we used as an example in the video. The bad boy burgers we made are incredibly good – you’ll definitely want to check out that recipe tomorrow.

So take a look at this sauce recipe and check out the video on how to make it below. I’m still trying to figure out how to talk staring into a camera lens, so please bear with me – but I think you’ll get the message. And that message is, make this one now! Tangy and sweet with just a little heat. You’ll love it!

Let me know how you use this teriyaki sauce recipe in your own paleo cooking! I’d love to hear your ideas!
