CavePaintings-Chauvet-Pont-d’Arc-WebR

The Chauvet-Pont-d'Arc Cave in southern France displays some of the earliest known cave paintings of Paleolithic life. A new study of the artwork in 2012 supported earlier estimates that dated the paintings between 30,000–32,000 BC.
