Starbucks Brews Up A New Option: Coconut Milk

Starting February 17, some 13,000 Starbucks coffee shops in the US will offer customers Starbucks Single Origin Sumatra Coconut Milk as an alternative to dairy and soy in its beverages.

A welcome option for vegan, paleo and lactose-intolerant patrons, Starbucks says their Indonesian island sourced coconut milk was placed on the menu as a result of more than 84,000 votes for a dairy-free alternative through its online suggestion box, MyStarbucksIdea.com.

The coconut milk will cost Starbucks customers an extra 60 cents, the same price it currently charges for soy milk.
