Awesome Paleo Avocado Sauce

Here’s how you can quickly turn even the simplest salad into something truly amazing with just 8 ingredients and your blender!

Instead of the same old salad dressing or vinaigrette, give this avocado-based topping loaded with healthy fat and vibrant flavors a try.

This creamy concoction starts with half an avocado and adds a little tanginess from a fresh-squeezed lime with just a touch of heat from half a jalapeño pepper.

Definitely a little Mexican flair going on with this one – which makes it particularly amazing for something like that taco salad in the picture.

The uses you’ll find for this versatile sauce go way beyond just salads. This is actually one of my favorite toppings for quite a few of my meat and fish dishes too.

Whenever you’ve got an entrée that could use a little extra punch, give this quick sauce a whirl and apply generously – the freshness and contrasting flavors will instantly brighten almost any dish.

So you might be thinking since this sauce is avocado-based, it’s going to turn fast and look all yucky. Nope … in fact you can actually store this sauce sealed in your fridge up to a week and it will stay fresh and green – that lime juice in the mix really helps keep the avocado from oxidizing. Pretty cool, right?

And like I said, this one couldn’t be much easier. Just 8 simple ingredients and it whips up in a blender super-fast. (In case you’re curious, for the paleo mayo I just used Primal Kitchen’s Avocado Oil Mayo – highly recommended!)

If after your first go-around in the blender the sauce seems a bit thick, just add a little water and blend again until it’s the perfect consistency. And I should mention here you can dial back the lime juice and jalapeño in the recipe if you’d prefer a milder sauce. You know the drill…keep blending, adding and tasting until you get it just the way you like it.

And here’s a little hint: For a fancier presentation, just pour the sauce into a simple squeeze bottle and apply in bright green ribbons to add a little extra artistic flair to your dishes.

And one more plus for all you on the Whole30 program, this paleo sauce is fully compliant so no worries.

Hope you enjoy this one and let me know what you think!

I’ve added the quickie video I made for Instagram below so you can see this paleo avocado sauce recipe coming together in about 15 seconds!
